Corporal Harold Percival BUTLER took part in the first offensive in Libya and went through the Tobruk seige where he was a stretcher-bearer for ten months.
Returning to Palestine and Syria, he was transferred to Egypt where he took part in campaigns there as Acting Sergeant at a regimental aid post. He was killed in action on 25 Oct 1942 in Egypt age 31.
